Reiner, Slaughter & McCartney Safety Matters Fund

{tag_name_nolink}

The Reiner, Slaughter & McCartney Safety Matters Fund was established by the trial attorneys at Reiner, Slaughter & McCartney Law Offices for the advancement of safety and well-being in our community.  Attorneys Russ Reiner and Todd Slaughter have been practicing law in the North State for over 35 years.  In that time they have seen numerous injuries that could have been prevented with proper safety gear, improved road conditions, better product design and manufacturing.

In June 2012, Reiner & Slaughter Law Offices held its first Safety Matters event at the firm where the attorneys gave over 700 Shasta County households a brand new Britax Parkway SG booster seat for their vehicles to help families comply with a new California state law.  After this event, Russ Reiner said that the ability to make tangible difference in community safety was one of the proudest moments of his career.

The fund was also established to help the families of those who want to find a worthwhile way to recover from the loss of a loved one.  Sometimes in the aftermath of a Wrongful Death settlement, families band together to do what they can to fix the problems that caused tragedy for their family.  The Reiner, Slaughter & McCartney Safety Matters Fund will help these families ensure that the loss of a family member is not taken in vain, and instead will build a legacy that will prevent others from suffering a similar fate now and into the future.

Since 2010, the law firm has received two Certificate of Achievements from the Shasta County Public Health Advisory Board for their efforts.

On an annual basis, the Reiner, Slaughter & McCartney Safety Matters Fund will review public safety concerns and find ways to outfit Shasta County families and schools with proper safety gear, spread awareness about dangerous products, working conditions, or other safety concerns.  If you have a safety concern that you would like to see addressed, please contact the firm at info@reinerslaughter.com.
